Warlpiri Media supports local talent in music in its member communities. Many of the bands it has been involved in supporting have released work through CAAMA in Alice Springs.

There are lots of musicians living in the communities in which Warlpiri Media operate. There are regular concerts on many communities and bands often travel to Alice Springs or neighbouring communities and Sports Weekends to play.

PAW Radio play many local band recordings and often feature interviews and live on air sessions.

Warlpiri Media recently travelled to its member communities and recorded many bands which have ended up on the compilation CD Tanami Tracks Bands like Spinifex from Ali Curung, Lander River Band from Willowra, Walungurru Gospel Band from Walungurru, Karrku Band from Nyirrpi and the Central Desert Band from Pmara Jutunta. In 2002, Warlpiri Media plan to update the recording facilities at Yuendumu. The musicians are looking forward to having the oportunity to record new songs.
