Tanami Tracks

WMA has run its own music recording studio since 1999. There are lots of musicians in our member communities and WMA is working to provide them all with access to music recording equipment. The first major CD release by WMA is called Tanami Tracks and it features music from eight communities in over region.

For Tanami Tracks, WMA workers Donovan Jampijinpa Rice, Grant Japanangka Granites and Tristan Ray travelled to WMA’s nine member communities and recorded two to three songs from each community. Tanami Tracks features some of the current hit songs of the Central Desert Region you can’t get these songs anywhere else. You can purchase the album on CD or cassette from WMA.
